Movie Monday -Like Dandelion Dust

Dave and I watched this movie on DVD over the weekend.  It is based on a book by Karen Kingsbury(who is one of my favorite authors).  It was very good and had me sniffing and holding back tears.  Dave liked it too and that is  saying alot as he doesn't like to many movies.  Not a movie for children but mature teenagers could watch this movie.  Highly recommend it but it is a difficult subject matter and not a feel good movie.

With Hannah being in the 10th grade now she basically is a independant learner and I really don't have much to do except check up on her and make sure that she is doing what she is suppose to do. 

I did receive Two things in my email today that I found interesting.

Uexceltest.com is a site where you can take tests for college credit.

Open and Free courses from Carnegie Mellon.  I am thinking about having Hannah take French.

Hannah and I watched this movie.  It was pretty cute and there anything that I found objectional.  Nice Chick flick.

Tv Tuesday -Time Enough at Last Twilight Zone

This is my favorite Twilight Zone episode  I sometimes feel like this man.  what this clip doesn't show is that His Boss and His Wife can't understand why he likes to read so much and how they feel it is a waste of time.  Then a bomb hits and everyone is killed.  He isn't because he was reading in the bank vault.  Just at his wits end because he can't stand the loneliness he spots the library.

Movie Monday-Houston We have a Problem

Apollo 13 is one of those films that is just good.  From Beginning to the end.  Ron Howard does a wonderful job as director and the cast is just great, Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gafy Sinise, Ed Harris and Kathleen Quinlan.  Just a great Movie.

Let's Talk super Bowl commercials!!

I am not much of a football fan.  The only reason I watch the Superbowl is because of the the half Time show and the commercials.  In My opinion the half time show was not that great.   I personally think that the Black Eyed Peas are not very good live.  They need all that stuff that happens in a studio to make them sound better.  I was not impressed by the show at all. 

The Commercials were ok.  Here are my favorites.
