I stayed up late last night or should I say early this morning to finish Riven by Jerry Jenkins. I like this book from the beginning but the end was really riveting. Thomas is a pastor that feels like he hasn't really done much for the kingdom and takes a job at a maximum security prison and feels like he is even less effective because of all the restictions placed on him. Brady is the typical bad kid. He grew up with no father and an mostly absent mother who is abusive to his little brother when she is present. He gets chance after chance and makes the wrong choices time and again. He eventually ends up at the same supermax that Thomas works . What happens when these two meet changes the prisoners, the country and maybe even the world.
